Towards Light is an album of introspection. 22 tracks both composed and discovered, both planned and spontaneous in differing proportions. It is the music of one who has long since stopped shouting at the world. The first track, “Menkelinan”, is named for a 570 million year old star that will eventually become the brightest star in our sky some 990,000 years from now, just to set the timeline. It ends with the title track, written for friends, about letting go of the physical realm. In between are homages, remembrances, tributes, and experiments to make what I believe is my most accessible album to date. Thanks for listening.
